Is it true they cut your severance if you get a job before it ends. Mine runs through April and I start next month, how would they know?

HR told me they won't know unless you tell them. She encouraged me not to say anything.

It’s not rocket science. Keep your mouth shut.

True, even if the hiring company calls to verify employment. Just don't say you were hired. What do you think the other people in your District are doing...about 50% or more have a job starting in January or started in December. Bet they didn't tell HR they got a new job.
