varies state to state.... quite frankly, it cost more than it's worth for a company to even TRY to enforce it! as long as you're not slinging the same crap to the same accts you should be fine.

Plenty of loop holes in this non-compete. Let's be honest the only reason the company has this in place is to use scare tactics rather than pay a fair market value in salaries to all of us. Don't let this be a concern to you. It's very broad, but lacks specifics which is the loop hole.

They can still take you to court and they have deep pockets. You need to figure out if your new company is willing to fight it. As mentioned, if you're going to a territory where you'll be calling on different accounts, it's much less of a basis for a fight.
