On my way out!

To all my fellow employees. It has been a pleasure working with you over my thirty + years with Medco. Yes, Medco. I consider myself a Medco employee and not Express Scripts. I believe those companies had two very different philosophies. I was proud while at Medco and worked my way from an entry level position, through lead, supervisor, manager and then above. We had our hard times, but I believe there was mutual respect and problems were worked out and we moved forward, for the good of the patients.
Express Scripts has gotten what they came for, our technology and the Medco patients. I am therefore no longer needed, as my salary is too high. ES feels that hiring temps recruited from Craig’s List is a better option. Don’t worry about the 70% attrition rate before they can even get to the floor, don’t worry how these new employees are speaking to our customers, don’t worry about them stealing credit card information, don’t worry about them coming in high and drunk….. You get what you pay for and this is the new face of the company.

The downsizing will continue and the closings are coming… FL, Columbus, PA, TX, LV. They do fire a legacy ES employee now and then, but we all know the bulk is Medco. Never mind the transfer of knowledge that Medco senior staff and employees have, all those smart ES cronies with three years of experience always know better, just ask them, they will tell you. “Just call me George” gets a raise for all this hard work, while the rest work hard to support their families, fearful of termination on a daily basis. Cutbacks across the board, safety, security… all for the ability to impress Wall Street.

Well George Paz is packing his bags. Funny thing is his hired henchmam Pat McNamee did not get the reins. George just liquidated 30% of his holdings which means he has realized the udder is dried up with Obamacare. I am sure he will retire soon to enjoy all the money he made off his miserable minions (including Pat plus Gary And "just" Jim - who also are getting the boot :) sadly many people (even the Medco people) will not get the rewards they deserve. But that is corporate life - a sad life it is. Good luck in your new life :)

While it was sad to see you go, it is probably better than coming to work and having to sit through countless meetings to discuss value stream mapping. All the while, Max and his crazy henchmen (John) walk the floor and stare at our women's breasts and asses. (Looks like Max should spend more time wondering the streets of Short North late at night)
