For anyone in the areas that have openings, do you know their time frame for hiring? Any dateline help would be greatly appreciated. What is the typical salary range for this specialty position? Thanks!

I am considering a couple of job offers and have been contacted for an open Aptalis spot. Need some info...salary range, bonus, stability of company, pipeline etc.... Thx

Just got a call from quintiles trying to fill a position - primary care - but selling the same 5 products specialty is. No pod, so more responsibility, same work, but come on...base is $60-63. R u kidding me? I am a specialty rep have never worked in a pod, 2x Pres Club winner, and you want me to sell specialty prods to primary care and only pay me that? Good luck getting anyone for that job who has any experience and is savvy about the industry.

Did they not tell you about the perks. Ford Escape as a company car, worst company car, yet. Continuous meetings where we launch and relaunch the same products over and over. Ten product Role plays that are unrealistic in any setting, and ......da da dah. you get to meet and have a few drinks with everyone who is anybody at Aptalis. How could you pass on this.

If you need a job, probably not the worst company to choose from regardless of the pay. We are small specialty looking to hit a billion. Most likely the reason for the low pay, unrealistic sales goals and bonus structure and below srandard company cars that keep me alert just in case someone t-bones me.

Get a clue...this is not a specialty position...this is pure PC therefore it is a PC base salary. They could care less if you have specialty sales experience. They HAD the quintiles reps covering some GI targets before for one product so they USED to hire specialty reps and they did pay them (about $20K more than now). Those days are gone.

If you need a job take it because it is a good launch into the GI fulltime positions. The territories are large though.

New hire is a hair test with a six month look back. If you shave your head they will find it elsewhere. Only someone stupid does drugs while interviewing for Pharma.

I always wear a fake poneytail made of horse hair. Throws off the testing machines as well as the lab employee when they go to cut my hair. Did I mention that I'm a guy!
