Options for those with a DUI

I've been basically 1 step away from getting 3-4 offers, but the DUI I had 2 years ago is an instant deal killer. I understand, the company doesn't want to pay extra to insure someone higher risk.

Are there any pharma companies out there that let you use your own car? I know a lot of B2B companies don't really care if you have one as long as you disclose it.

Anyone here get a job in pharma with a RECENT DUI? I'd love to get into a pharma sales role where company car/DUI don't matter.

I think if it's 5 to 7 years some will hire you if you have nothing else on your record. Good luck to you. I got one too many years ago, and I never drink even one drink now and drive. It can happen to anyone, and we all make mistakes in life. I learned a lesson.

Good luck to you--wait 5 years, and then you should be able to get in if you talk to H.R. about it.

You have options but they don't include any with company cars. You need to find out if they offer a car allowance or company car BEFORE you even interview. If they say car allowance you need to call HR and ask them if a DUI is a stopper... if not, you're good to go!
