ORMC bows to Mike

The worst OR staff in the south has once again demonstrated their team work by signing for VH1 OR Fit Club. The first OR to lose 200 lbs in a month will win a free AO Basic Nurse Course to help them with their ineptness. ORMC should be a shoe- in as their staff weighed in at a total weight of 11,250 lbs. A real load folks. Surely these fatasses can lose a total of 200lbs. A notice has been issued from the 0R stipulating all vendors cease with donuts and creme puffs. This will be tough for the staff but we hope that their anti-rep antics and reaching for the next donut mentality will stop .Mike will be sitting back in the lounge eating pizza, shooting the shit with the docs while you fix the catheters and drain bags in the holding area and think about your ever increasing ass.

What a class act. Insulting OR nurses. Just remember this is one of only a few countries where reps are allowed in the OR. I just hope that somewhere in the Obama healthcare bill, that is now law, that sales rep will be banned from entering the OR. Most reps, especially this one, is obnoxious!

There is not one single hospital in the entire U.S. that can do an orthopedic case whether it be joints, trauma, etc. without a rep. Period. I agree that post was rude, but OR reps are necessary evil to get the cases done. If hospitals banned OR reps, they would need to buy everything including instruments and stock all the implants/disposables on the shelf. Most reps do a good job and are relied upon way too much. A few bad apples ruin it for everybody.

This rep is obnoxious and I question if it is a Synthes rep or a competitor. As a Synthes rep, I have found the OR nurses to be great to work with and a nice group of people to spend the day with. Surgeons as well. Some hospitals can do these cases on their own but a lot like the reps there because they say that things run smoother. Probably comes down to the surgeon as well.

In Synthes basic training I often overheard lecturers and students iterate that an OR couldn't function without them. With this kind of attitude, no wonder Synthes reps are obnoxious and look down upon the nurses.

Wrong! By stating the "entire U.S." you must include the U.S.territory of Puerto Rico where surgical sales representatives are not permitted in the operating room. Sales rep call on surgeons in their offices and train surgical staff in hospital class room. Surgeries are completed just fine without them in the OR. We need to implement this in the rest of the U.S. This will greatly cut down on fraud and lower infection rates.

Any surgeon worth his salt should be able to read the 12-20 page techniques guide and complete any orthopedic surgical procedure without the need of any rep to hold his hand. You are guys are grossly over rated and over paid. Obamacare will fix this problem. The wheels are in motion. I hope you're ready to sell some solar panels.

LOL, nice. I actually know a guy who was in medical device sales many years ago, and now is in wind power sales. If he can do it, so can the rest of you wannabe surgeons.

I would agree Mike is a tool and his wiring in his head is a little off but truth be told OR's will be calling for reps no matter what happens in Obama care. Years ago all the scrub techs and nurses had to know the systems, and assemble etc, Once the 9 thumbed orthopod started wanting to have rep there for every 1/3 tubular plate case this meant the OR didn't have to learn anything. Not bragging but its not out of the question for a rep to knock an hour off the case. How many Intermedullary nail cases that would of gone south without the rep there. No excuse for orthopod not to able to do a joint case on their own. Really residence program, fellowships, trauma rotation and you still need a rep??? Guys like Mike Duncelap have no people skills and is shady in his dealings with billing etc. Mike should be banned without question for his antics over the years. If he's off the Paxil he's as crazy as a loon. Just my 2 cents.

"would of" in place of "would have"..... i never bust balls for spelling mistakes on here, but come on...sure it sounds the same as would've, but you actually had to think to type it that way....although with some of the synthes reps there are these days why should this surprise me....just shows what is wrong with this company

Really spelling? Come on dude.. Typing on a palm you're entitled to some spelling errors. You sound like a hedge hog OR staff person who flunked the diet test. Get the white sugar off your fingers from the donuts and stop being a OR lackey. Mike runs the OR there and your staff doesn't shit without Mikes okay. Mike can walk around and have you fired if he wants. So stop piling on Mike as the only reason you've got a job is because of Mikes expertise in the OR. Sorry your staff flunked the weight loss test.
