Anybody ever take the Orthofix Spine training course? They say there is a test and if you dont pass it with %90 you cant complete the course? Anybody ever hear that? Thinking about 2 different companies, going against orthofix spine because of a test. Yes you need to know your stuff but you really need to know how to sell in a tough arena. They dont even tell you whats on the test.

Anybody have an opinion?

They will tell you what to study for, but no they will not tell you whats on the test. This is a highly educated work force, your going to be selling to well educated Doctors and if you are scared of passing a test, good luck passing the Doctors test.

I think I will just stick with my job, selling hips is much more enjoyable. We are all about relationships. Yes you need to know your product but that is what the training is for. When I started I was green. I went to the training not knowing much, left the training feeing full of to much information. Then I spent the time on going over my material. I guess i thought spine was basically the same way, just wanted a change, but I dont think that will happen

Went through the training about a year ago. It's very good and yes you need to score 90% or better on each daily quiz. If not you need to re-take it. The final test at the end of the week is billed the same way but its a different type of test, stuff you probably wouldn't know but they through it in, just do well during the week on the daily quizzes.

Selling Orthos Spine product shouldn't be to hard of course I'm speaking for myself as I use to work for the spinal implant company they bought acquired a few years back. The product is very easy to work with and even easier to demo and score a doc. Of course your problem is going to be supplying your distributors as ortho does a horrible job providing inventory. I would opt to go work for some of the bigger outfits like J&J Stryker Biomet DePuy Spine those are some of the top companies. Good Luck
