I have heard that they changed management and sales are going well. However, I know very little about them. Can anyone shed some light on this company? A recent change in my employment prompts me to look around.
 


i have heard about them in the past months. They advertise on Linkedin and via press releases.
CEO is a former Theken Spine / Integra Spine VP, came on board a year ago. Press release in January of this year states a new institutional investor put in $14M. I dont sell the product but a doctor friend of mine from Spokane went to a lab in vegas last month where all of the compeitors were there; kyphon, stryker, carefusion and dfine. He liked Osseons products and started using them. Maybe a current distributor can pipe in and provide some feedback.
 


I am a small distributor in San Francisco. Carried their line for about 1 year.
My one doctor likes it. He does mostly bi pedicular approach (70% ) of the time, the balance is
Unipedicular. He likes the option of going unipedicular after access the first pedicle and assessing bone quality. When he does bi pedicular he gets the balloon to cross the midline so final result is anterior and across entire midline.

I don't know why more distributors carry their line. I do know the new CEO.
They are adding distributors each month but it takes time to get hospital approvals.

They are releasing new devices this month but it seems to be a limited release to key surgeons first. Kind of conservative in this day and age.

Anyone else?
 


I just picked up their line in Florida. I always liked the technology but already had a system I was selling. I was in Orlando over the weekend and attended FSIPP. Osseon and Stryker were there. I think Osseon has a more novel product line, a little less pretty but rather impressive. I'll report back after my first cases, they are planned for later in the month.
 


The positive posts on Osseon are funny. Who at corporate is pretending to be distributors? My guess is the CEO. The Osseon device has been on the market for 6 years. They have less than 1% market share. There is a reason. RUN!!!!!!!!
 




They recently launched a new cement, new cement delivery system and new mixer. A decent answer to DePuys Confidence system. I'm in new England area and I use their system. A small account for them with only two doctors. Good system, decent company to work with.
