Overtime Class Action started in Texas

You got some info on this? I would love to get some of this, after 20 years with Abbott and being PIP'd out. I need a final FU to close this out.

I really cant believe these overtime suits, really, I work 40 hours a week, period. If there are lern, ppd gateway, etc programs, etc I compensate for that time. I never will again do a expense report, a module, etc before 9 am or after 5 pm M-F. It is a requirement of the job, so it is done on company time, not my time. Also, have a evening program to do? If it is say 6pm to 9pm, well guess what next day 9-12 is mine. Most reps dont work a 40 hour week, quite the opposite, 30 hours seems to be about right, then they whine about having to go to a dinner meeting or having to go to a meeting that requires a flight that gets them home at 8pm on a Thursday. Believe Me, if you got the hose job like 20 year pip out man, go for this, if you are still employed with abbott or any other suck it up, attorneys will get the bulk of any money ever paid. A friend of mine won His lawsuit the class action, with another pharma company and got $499.77. And, since He "was" still working with company, guess what, He all of the sudden was a underperformer and was let go due to compliance issues.....That is your fate....If you are counting on this for a big windfall, forget it...

@post#4: You apparently don't work for one of those ball-busting micro-managing DM's who never worked in the field and thinks 8+ calls per day with 80% sampled is the expectation. Add any windshield time to that and you're screwed. The dirty little secret at home office is to push the reps to the above expectations and THEN load them down with LERN modules, admin assignments, etc. on their time so that a 50+ hour week becomes the norm. Then they put you on a PIP. The work/life balance is tipped in favor of the home office -- all work and NO life.

Your method WILL catch up with you. Guaranteed. As for the class action suit, management and lawyers are from the same gene pool in the scum pond.

30 hours a week? What division are you in? Or, more to the point, what drugs are you taking out of the sample closet because you must be on something to think that most reps work 30 hours a week.
