Whats the typical salary structure at Linvatec? Is it base + commission, or just commission? I've heard commission is ~6%. Whats the average salary of a sales rep?

Thanks!

Sales associate salary roughly $36,000
Sales Rep - "salary" $50,000-$60,000 but this will disappear quickly before going to straight commission.

Commission rates 7-9%. Territories different drastically, but it would be very rare to start in a territory already doing 1millions.

Top Reps - $300,000 minus expenses $25,000 = $275,000
Bottom Reps $65,000 minus expenses $25,000 = $40,000

How many people get to the "top" level? If I'm average, what am I expecting to bring home? Is it closer to 150k?

Thanks - really appreciate this!

If you are average, at a top company, stay there. If you are average going to a second, third or fourth tier company (argue where this company falls... I'd say second tier rapidly moving towards third) then expect to be very disappointed in both yourself and who / where you work.

It is very difficult to determine how much you can make... really depends on the local reputation of the company you are going to represent, and how much repair the territory may need due to past representation, or lack thereof.

I was just contacted by an internal recruiter for an ASR position. He was very vague when it came to the compensation. Will someone please tell me what I can expect to make in this role?

The reason the recruiter was vague is because no one in the organization has a clue. I know that you want a serious answer and that is the answer. I would advise against getting involved with Linvatec unless you are desperate for a job. The comment about the 1 acre and a mule is bad enough but if it is Linvatec giving it to you the land would be at the bottom of a swamp and the mule would be blind and only have three legs. That is just the way they do business. It is a sad commentary about a once exciting and growing company. I can't wait to find another job and escape.

I have not been with Linvatec for more than a year now, but unless things have changed since then, the reason that no one is giving a good answer is because it depends on where the job is. Is it with a distributor or as a dirtect rep? Distributors can each make their own pay decisions. They will be different than direct rep's.
