This all rumor but I have heard that adjustments to SJM and Abbott will be make by the end of Q3. Normally Miles does it right before the quarterly announcement which is the middle of October. All speculation but I know some mangers who have a good nose for future RIFs and this is their "feeling".

Take it for what it is....I am not betting the farm on it.
 
Last week several people in J46/AP14 got laid off. Spoke to a couple personally, so this is first hand information.
It looks like this year, Abbott is laying off small groups each month (at least in Lake Conty) so that they can try to keep under the radar.

Our lazy management has hired PWC to come in and show them how to re-align their areas (since they are to lazy/ignorant to do it themselves)
Nancy B. Is taking PWC's recommendation to integrate SJM and re-align/fire people under her.

Rumor is that Lauri M is going to do the same thing now, hire PWC to re-align/fire people under her.
 
These people were contracted employees and Abbott didn't renew thier contracts.
Get your facts straight.

Current Abbott IT employee here. The reduction in resources were the result of non-renewal of contractors and/or cutting short contracts. No full-time resources were effected.

Current Abbott IT employee here. Full time Abbott Employees were fired as well, not just contractors.
Look at the new org chart that was sent out today, there are a few people that are no longer on it.
