Ameritox was a 5 year old lab company who learned through growing pains what a salesforce should look like. At first they hired furniture sales, carpet sales people, rental car agents, loan officers and other types of customer service type positions rather than pharma. They have found out in the last 2 years that medical or pharma experience is a better fit for what the medical selling environment requires. As the company has become more corporate and adapted many "pharma-like" strategies and practices, many of the "out of the industry" reps get upset. Many don't like change especially since they were used to non selling industries. This is a sales company, not just a customer service job wich many thought it was. Ameritox has been the funnest and most rewarding selling environment I have worked in. I have 6 years pharma, 2 years Telecom B2b experience and loving the gig.
