questionable testing for Lynch syndrome on polyps

Plus is now reflexing polyps with high grade dysplasia and polyps in patients less than 40 for Lynch syndrome screening. This is extremely questionable, the motivations are obviously purely financial. Lynch syndrome testing is only indicated in patients diagnosed with cancer and this should be done on the resection specimen only not the biopsy. Lynch testing is not indicated for either high grade dysplasia or polyps in younger patients.

This is a flimsy attempt by Plus to generate more billable units due to continued hemorrhaging of business. Really unbelievable, wont take long for the remaining GI clients to recognize this as fraud.

probably all of the GI docs are client billing, so they will make more money too :)

No wonder the US spends quadruple what european countries spend on healthcare with worse outcomes.

Performing this test when it is not indicated on a Medicare patient is defrauding the govt, which is serious.

Involved GI docs are just as guilty as plus

You loser. Get out of your mother's basement and get a job. You couldnt hack it at plus. Plus is offering it clients state of the art genetic testing. We are in the molecular era, bro. Wake up it is 2013.

Keep on hatin while Plus continues to grow month after month year after year.

Your crappy little lab is actually not performing a genetic test. You are actually screening for Lynch with immunohistochemistry, which if positive is confirmed with an actual molecular test to complicated for minus to perform.

Learn your test offering a little more "bro" before you try to sell it. This is another money making scheme consistent with plus's MO that will blow up in their face...remember know error? hows that one working out for plus
