Don't need DR LP JK DP SG ... quite a savings to rid them or downgrade them; no more R&D work, no more Lilly work. Sr Dirs can do their job adequately for a lot less.

Current R & D leadership contributed zero to build pipeline. Amylin's drugs were build by visionaries with excellent leadership skills with passion for science. Unfortunately, non of them work with Amylin now.

1] Exenatide franchise - Credit goes to Andrew Young (now in GSk)

2] Pramlintide franchise - Credit goes to Ted Green

3] Leptin franchise - Credit goes to Alain Baron

For R & D to excel, current leaders should be kicked out deep in pacific ocean (so that they should never return back to Amylin) and hire back all or some of leaders mentioned above.
