Return to FW campus

So, how smart is the leadership to bring everyone back right at the peak of the pandemic?
Well, very smart move, especially without having vaccines any time soon. And just to make things better; in the AB building, they’re making everyone in the call centers return, all at once. Because nothing is safer than having a large group of people talking all day on the phone without their masks. I guess they figured the cubicle walls are good enough barriers. I’m sure they have the data to back this safety decision. But hey, Alcon has to show how strong it is by playing a good old round of Russian roulette. Happy 2021! ;):p

Or, they could allow call center folks to wear masks all day and provide awesome service with muffled agents. Now that’s brilliant service... It’s just too easy to let them be remote until vaccines are available. I mean, who cares about these glorified customer service agents anyway. They’ re replaceable and have good health insurance, and hopefully they signed up for life insurance this year too. Good luck to ALL

Plenty of lawuits have been filed against companies after return to work and covid spread. I guess the executives just dont care about the well being of the employees. Remote work is working just fine, but the control freaks cant let go.

Senior management can hide safely in their closed door offices while you risk your safety and health in your open cubicle. I could always smell my neighbor’s perfume in either cubicle next to me but I guess we are still safe from COViD, huh? Yeah, that makes sense.

Even the ones in their office aren’t safe. It takes just one person talking on the phone for 8 hours to spread it throughout the entire floor. There’s an article about call center spread And faceshields are NOT ALLOWED. They should at least let people wear those when in their cubes. But, yes indeed. HA has to look good, at the expense of employees’ health. Hell, she’s not even in that building. She’s in tower A, safe from call centers. I hope someone is held accountable when a spread occurs; bc it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when. They couldn’t allow call center staff to continue to be remote just a few more months. In short, they don’t trust employees. I hope the management from customer service has more common sense than that of QA.

It is totally tone deaf. No other med device company is doing this. What is the point? Ridiculous. I refuse to come in. Legally, they can’t do anything if you just say “I’m not comfortable”.

And guess what? They aren’t going to give a damn if you get sick and pass it on to someone in your family who potentially dies. Then what? Are they going to bring that person back? Sorry, I care more about my irreplaceable family than a replaceable job!

Covid cases are at the highest ever since the pandemic began in both Tarrant and Dallas county. Curious to see how many outbreaks occur on campus. Suckers.

They have a false sense of security from having only ~ 35% people on site. Wait til the crowds show up. Hope I’m wrong and they’re right. I don’t wish anyone passing the virus to a vulnerable person and causing their death.

Yeah, and that you can’t go after them.

EEOC has even announced they can discriminate based off CoVid, vaccinations, etc.

Companies have a safe harbor for this, sorry, look it up
Certainly cant win much with that attitude. Talk to a qualified attorney. In fact you dont have to win you have to just settle to win.
