Over the last 2 years J&J has increased focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
I really applaud the company's intent to reduce inequality, however this has resulted in unintended consequences.
Diversity has become a race and sex focus only leading to a reverse discrimination...

Better qualified individuals are passed over for promotional/new appointment opportunities and less qualified "preferred demographics" are hired to meet the diversity quota (Yes there is a quota system).

The hiring focus is on 3 demographics... African American, Women and Hispanics.
The company has shifted from a meritocracy to race/sex based quota system
This has led to significant reverse discrimination against others.

If more than 10 people are in my kind of situation I want to file a class action lawsuit.

question for you based on this line in your post. How do you know that the “better qualified” individual didn’t get the job? Were you part of the interview panel for each and every position you are referring to? Are there assumptions in your thinking that “better qualified” doesn’t mean woman or diverse candidate. How do you know for a fact that these individuals are less qualified?
 
I understand where Joe Discriminated is coming from. This is not limited to the US either. I too feel the same sentiments but not enough to join class actions. I wish they would tone down the excessive wokeness, false listening meetings and DEI stuff and quietly get on with good technology regardless of heritage, genitals and not forgetting age.
 
As long as Tom Weck, the white supremacy poster boy, is still employed under the J&J umbrella, there can be no credible argument for reverse discrimination here! Sorry, that's a fact! He has been a serial offender of women and minorities throughout his so called "career".
 
I’m gonna venture a guess that you’re an old white man who thought you were hot shit in your career because of your mad skills and not your color and gender. Now everything is more competitive because the hiring process is no longer excluding minorities or giving a pass to white guys. Focus on making yourself the most competitive candidate rather than trying to keep the odds ever in your favor.

Your guess is partially correct. I am a white male and I DO have "mad skills". I am not leaving anytime soon!!!
