What is this salesforce.com thing? Ameritox can't afford their own system for recording calls and doc info? I feel like I am on a ride at the local fair and the rubberbands are about to break. Really?!! How cheap can you get.

Former big and small pharma rep here...I've used several different "in-house" systems that you long for...they're crap. Salesforce is cheaper and more robust than any program a company 20 times larger than Ameritox could afford. It has a lot of features, that while not always useful, are novel, these are things that they would never afford on their own. I was with Schering a few years back and this functionality destroys what we had there.

Stop complaining and sell something. Who really cares what or where you input your calls? Seriously? This is not necessarily an indicator that they can't afford it, it's an indicator that this is just not the type of crap they would like to spend their time and resources on.

If you assembled cars you would complain that they don't actually make the seats or dashboards that they put in the cars. The company found another company who is really good and fast at making seats because that's all they do and bought the seats to install in their cars...it's this crazy invention called specialization.

LOL! "what is this salesforce.com thing?" You must have been a sleep at the wheel the last 24 months....they're one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world. anyways....good luck with adoption in this industry.....the majority of these useless reps are old as fuck, hate technology, and get pissy when they realize management is trying to get snapshots of rep productivity.
 


Salesforce.com is for start up companies to start a system of checks and balances, this company is over 5 yrs old and still has it. It is fast growing because of all of the small start ups coming into the game but it is not something that a seasoned rep wants to look at after being with a very reputable company for years and b/c of the economy needs to degrade oneself by resorting to this shotty system.
