Severance

With the call today regarding Sunosi and the employees who are being "displaced from Jazz" and not being "conveyed" to Axsome... I started wondering about the severance packages that those employees are receiving. Anyone have any info? Any historical data from previous layoffs? Based on my experience with Jazz, I don't expect it to be particularly generous lol

Based on today and how they handled the news I would expect very minimal. Horrible company that treats people like shit. Never seen a situation like this handled so poorly. Who sends an email to announce what is going to happen for employees to read on a Monday morning? That should have been a conference call first with us that were impacted and then information sent to the rest of the company. Another Kim failure....

Completely agree - poorly handled by incompetent leaders. Thanks Kim and Jorge!! And thanks to Bruce for all the Jazz feel good emails!!

Note to all - get out of this place.

Fuck this terrible company

Sunosi was run into the ground by senior leadership at every possible opportunity. Being notified by press release is the icing on the cake.

The policy for conveyed employees of “you have 3 days to accept a job offer with a startup that has no infrastructure with no negotiation whatsoever or you are immediately fired with no severance” also doesn’t sit well.

Psychiatry treats shift work disorder. They don't treat OSA, like they don't treat
heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc...

Problem was that leadership was too stupid when they looked at the stimulant data and thought this drug had potential.

anyone in leadership who made those decisions should have been fired, including those in marketing

the efficacy was not there at that dose - should have taken 300mg to market - that is where the clinical study ended up.

This would only make sense if narcolepsy was the focus. 300mg isn’t a huge issue for OSA. Low perceived need for a better osa drug was the huge issue there.

hope Axosome can make better decisions and do something with it. Is a good product.

wonder if they were able to keep their unvested RSUs

highly doubt it. Jazz is treating its people very poorly in this processAlmost zero communication. Complete lack of transparency.

They are going to receive substantial blowback in the sleep medicine community for the many terrible decisions over the last year

I was very happy to be a part of Jazz over the past several years. what happened last week was horrible. Making the sales force lame ducks, releasing the Q2 ic plan 3 days prior to the piss poor communication last Monday. Shame on whoever lead that shit show.
even the current xywav reps are pissed.
Jazz really fucked up. They are no longer a great place to work for.

This whole divestiture is a disorganized shit show. Complete lack of communication and transparency from Jazz.

No communication plan whatsoever. Clearly just waiting until the problem goes away.

Jazz values are a sham. Will strongly recommend that others do not work here.
