Shield - AE

Docs get compensated and/or penalized for hitting/missing the percentage of how many people they get screened for colon cancer.

They get credit for getting patients screened by FIT/FOBT, Cologuard, and Colonoscopy. Not shield. Which costs $10,000 for 10 years of screening instead about 1/3 or less for the other methods- so approval isn’t guaranteed, especially since it misses so many early stage cancers and precancerous lesions- which is the whole reason behind screening.

If the blood test does get approved for credit, it will likely be secondary with hoops to jump through (docs hate that), and Exact Sciences (already entrenched in the market) will likely launch theirs.

I’d look elsewhere honestly

Quotas are not high but most are not hitting their number. The ones that do are participating in screening days in offices and health fairs.

Leadership - some were AEs in the field but with the growth upper management has hired managers that do not know anything about launching Shield.

Shield is better than nothing but docs still prefer other testing especially Cologuard. Shield is a hard sell and reps basically beg and bug offices for tests.

VP is Pharma so expect to be a Pharma rep. Entering daily calls etc.
