Heard that it's two quarters and then a verbal counseling, then coaching, then PIP for reps.. also retroactive to the beginning of FY2024. Is this considered a silent layoff because of the accelerated timeline? If it were performance management and coaching, why wouldn't it begin in FY25.. curious everyone's thoughts, trying to help a friend(no, it's not me).
 


The culture of MDT now sucks. The mission statement about valuing employees is complete bullshit when they have reorgs and RIFs every year.
Brett Wall says MDT needs to be 'tougher' and less coddling, axing the bottom 10% of the sales force stack rankings every year.

Brett is correct *in theory* - however, this assumes that Medtronic runs like a well-oiled machine in terms of product functionality, minimal recalls, proper QA, a timely system to resolve backorders. If you've worked here, you know that every controllable mentioned in the last sentence is completely off the rails. Meanwhile, sales is asked to hit increased metrics and operate successfully under an ever-present guillotine to make-up for the inadequacies of the org as a whole.

And this doesn't even include some of the newest DEI "leaders".

Managers don't generate revenue? You mean when I go meet with a CMO, Chr of Surg, VP of Supply Chain and propose a contract that my reps don't have authority to present, that I'm not producing revenue?

There are so many more significant disadvantages than being an intelligent Egyptian woman yet no one cares about those disadvantages. I'm a white man. My life is not easy. It's all race, gender, sexual orientation, sexual identity. No one gives a damn about most disabilities or life challenges that are discriminated against.

I did NOTHING wrong to be literally told my a hiring manager that the director wanted to hire a female. I got here on this planet after the civil rights act was long in place. I grew up believing and being taught color blindness and I have always acted that way. I didn't own slaves nor did my family. It is illegal to discriminate against me yet they did and will until we end this DEI B.S. I am voting Trump primarily so he will end this illegal DEI discrimination federally once and for all. I am so sick of the wokesters acting racist and sexist while pretending they are righteous.

MDT is in the shitter partly because of DEI with Martha and the other idiots in sr leadership caring more about your skin color or what's between the legs compared to experience and accomplishments.
