Who the heck is ATMOS NPWT? I just lost a SNF chain account to them. NO WARNING, JUST OUT.

We are in no position for real competition in the future, this is just the start.

good product, not great, but the price is right. Not as fancy as the VAC, but outcomes are identical. There are at least 10 good competitors out there these days
"...outcomes are identical?" I haven't been drinking the kool-aid and can tell you that if it's not foam, it's be proven time and time again by hospitals that the OUTCOMES ARE NOT IDENTICAL. it's not rocket-science, man. Foam, at this time, is the best medium for negative pressure. Overall it's more porous, allowing the wound to be pulled/strained more effectively.
Like I said, I'm not drinking kool-aid and if you want IDENTICAL outcomes, use KCI, S&N, or ITI; they all have foam.
To further add, ITI has a portable VAC Instill at a lower price. The ITI Sved device offers constant saline irrigation which has been shown by KCI and ITI to improve granulation quality and quantity.
What is "portable VAC Instill"? Is that an ITI product and how is it different from the KCI pump?
VAC Instill is a hospital VAC for bedbound patients that has foam with and constant saline irrigation. KCI doesn't have a portable version of the Instill, but ITI does; it's called the SVED.
From what I understand, KCI will never go after ITI because through Dr. Svedman, ITI can prove that he was the original creator of the foam VAC system.
won't really go after them because the market share they have is so small the damages they could collect would be worth less than the cost of the lawsuit. You file the suit just to be a pain in their butt, and to be able to ask a facility if they know about ITI being sued and use as leverage. Understand the finances of the suit and marketing value and you will be better off.
So how much do you think it costs to go to court? $100,000? 1 mil? You don't think a company like ITI doesn't have the kind of money?
Secondly, KCI was going to take ITI to court towards the end of 2011, but for obvious reasons (S&N court hearing results in October) that didn't happen.
Flood gates are already open my old friends, why be in denial.
