Smartphones

because their email system is windows based and in order to be supported you should also have a smart phone that is windows based. Duh

clearly you don't know what you're talking about and don't have an iphone. iphone supports several email applications, including outlook. it's their phone service that sucks!

will the 3g s have fewer dropped calls?

I figured out how to fix this, as I live in Chicago and I almost returned my iPhone b/c of all the dropped calls. The guy at the Apple store told me to turn off the 3G capability, and it totally worked! I thought it would slow down internet downloads, etc. but it still works just as fast. When you turn off 3G it switches the phone to AT&T towers. When it's on 3G it only works w/ 3G towers and there aren't as many towers. You can always switch to 3G if you need it for downloads, etc.

I was grateful to the Apple guy, so I thought I would share. Hope it helps.

They support any device that supports ActiveSync, which right now includes dozens of windows mobile based sets, iPhones, and the Palm Pre. The only devices that I know of that they do not support are BlackBerries which is due to a very expensive component that they have to purchase from BlackBerry to get full functionality. There are workarounds (BIS) however this represents a huge security risk to yourself and the company and is officially against company policy to use. Besides compared to the alternatives, the BlackBerry devices blow.
