So many openings - why?

Why are there so many openings here? I was contacted by a recruiter so thought I would take a peek. Lots of Ostomy positions. Are people fleeing, being let go, or expansion territories?

Good place?

Thank you in advance.

A few representatives have been "pushed out". Trying to get rid of the older/senior reps, especially if they are not making their numbers. Apparently, their salaries are more than their worth. No loyalty here.

Low base. Low comp. You will not make money here no matter what. That is why everyone leaves.

Sad as this was once a great organization. After they were sold off from BMS in 2008, and the insane management decisions, including promoting the wrong people to roles they had no clue how to perform - there has been a mass exodus, both voluntary and forced. Now the company is finally getting what they deserve; the only people standing seem to be mostly _________ (fill in the blank). I am sure those that see CVT in their rear-view mirror are thankful. Again, once an innovative, great company. Now me-too products and many lost, hopeless people. Competitors are laughing all the way to the bank!

So true! Many resignations and new hires are primarily washed-up reps that cannot get a job anywhere else. Circling the drain. Glad to be gone to a place that pays 30% more base, attainable quotas, fresh products, top-notch co-workers too. Fantastic management as well.

Good for you to have found a better company to grow with. I am currently interviewing with two different companies. Hoping to be out before the end of March. I can attest that the pay outside of CVT is much better, even for a senior-level TM such as myself.

I am shocked, surprised, and disappointed to see my colleagues being let go, or should I say, offered a deal to leave/or be fired. Granted, some have been here most of their careers and lost their drive/determination. They are replacing these representatives with laughable TMs; I guess they can no longer attract the level of reps we had been known for.

Shame on you, ConvaTec.

Convatec has become a revolving door. The low base salary attracts inexperienced sales reps. The new hires stay for a year and leave for a higher base as soon as they can.

The above poster is correct. Convatec is a shell of the Company it used to be. Lead by inexperienced morons who call themselves a management team-- who have NO product knowledge No understanding of the US wound care or ostomy business. Subpar ancient products. What's next Aquacel extra extra advantage extra plus a secret ingredient ?Give it up already and sell what you have left to Medline-

Extremely poor leadership in wound care. Field reps left out to dry (most of the reps aren't much good anyway). Managers are stuck trying to tread water. Marketing never gave anything new to work with because lets face it, there was nothing new to talk about. Nothing really NEW has come out in years. They made 1 good product like 50 years ago and just keep making minor changes without any substance.

Yelled at for not winning new business while products kept going on BO. Kept getting fed some bullshit about Covid, but competitors didn't seem to be as screwed.

Joe Talanges. That guy has the leadership skills of a brain damaged raccoon. Everything is everybody else's fault. He'd spend a whole day taking credit for a small win without considering the 10 massive losses that happened at the same time.

Give it 6 months and I bet the place won't have a soul tenured over 1 year.

ConvaTec is the Gold Standard of medical device companies. Amazing products, highly skilled sales reps and managers. Very low turnover rate with employees. Average tenure of employees is probably the highest in the industry. Majority of sales reps making quota. A continuous stream of new innovative products. ConvaTec is a company that people can only hope to work for. ConvaTec only hires the best!

In addition to the stellar highly experienced, skilled employees, the monthly Townhall calls, regional calls never inflate/exaggerate successes. When these expertly trained, savvy, sales reps state that an account with a total potential of 5K in incremental/new business, has resulted in 100K of incremental/new business, one can rest assured that this is factual, and probably understated.
