So.....

Salix has a small sales force with massive geo. They could never handle the frequency and sampling need we have to keep things progressing. That being said, Glumetza and Zegrid go off patent in 2014. Depending on what else is ready to roll out or not roll will determine our fate. The inventiv contract has one more year. Then I believe changes will occur as in adjusting sales force numbers. Santarus was a pleasure to work with. Keep your options open and your resume updated. Unfortunately, this is the nature of the industry. Good luck to all!

inVentiv contract may end sooner than later. CSO is the first to go!

This company was a pleasure to work for. Even the posts on this site for years has been largely positive. Can not say the same for Salix posts. If a quarter of this stuff is true. Ouch.
That being said we have no control regardless of which part of the sales force you are on. I only wish everyone the best. Head up and keep moving forward. This industry is about change. I quess we all have to come to term with that.

Yes! And many inVentiv reps are likely to land a better gig in the months ahead.

I agree. I think the majority of inVentiv reps have liked working for Santarus, but things are never as good on contract. If anyone didn't realize that before, they surely do now. We're in a tough spot. But it is the nature of the industry and ultimately the good reps will land on their feet, whether they're contract or direct. I just hope they give us a little notice and that inVentiv treats us fairly.

Understand that one contract is not the same as another. And, nothing against Santarus, but as an inVentiv rep on this contract, there are better contracts out there than this.

I know my Salix reps pretty well. They are good reps and seem cool. From what they tell me Salix is a true 'sales' culture. Do well and you love it and get rewarded. Don't do well and you don't last long, hence the disgruntled posts on their cafepharma site.
