Starting base is normally in the low 50's and average bonus is around $10,000/yr.
Depends on your territory and experience but the above figures are pretty goo Rule of thumb!
I started at $116k..., but I don't work for Forest!!! bahahahahaha
I work for Forest and have a base over 150K bahahahahahahaha
and no i'm not BS'ing bahahahahahahaha
so take your $116 and shove it buddy bahahahahahaha
stick around, do well, don't jump companies all the time and you can work your base up very nicely here, and get four weeks of vacation after nine year...five after 20
every time you jump companies you go to the bottom on tenure-based benifits
150K+ and 5 weeks vacation bahahahahahaha

He didn't ask what managers make!!!! He was inquiring about a rep position. Sorry poster, you have to watch out for the managers trolling around on here giving you the whole, life is great at Forest crap.
Most start at 52K, so if they offered you 55K, they must have really seen potential in you. What you will find here at Forest is that your time in pharma as a rep doesnt mean crap to them. they are looking to soften the blow that is coming down the pipe anyways. in a year, you will be glad you are not making more, because those people will be laid off, if not sooner.
the way I see it is, take the job, it will be a year before much is expected out of you anyway. Especially if you need a job!!! I mean, sure you have to spend weeks in New York, but after the fact, you just have to perform the Dancing Bear routine every now and then for your manager. In the meantime, it gives you a year to find a job.
