Some of you are such whiners! Most of my team had over 15yrs with JnJ-I have 2 yrs. 2people on my team now have another job they are starting in Nov/Dec- they will still have over 6months of exrra money-while i am only going to get a few wks. Just get over yourselves- we were all overpaid for what we do! JnJ is still to top heavy- need to lay off more people

Def agree with you. You were/are overpaid and should be laid off. Will give you plenty of time to get over yourself.

Gotta laugh. I left JnJ 8yrs ago- had a horrible mgr- RBD thought he could do no wrong. I left after 21 yrs and couldn’t be happier. People complain about how much drugs cost, well I can tell you the sales teams at every company are overpaid!! Not complaining, as my oncology position has paid for my retirement home and my kids college and 1 wedding. My wife are very happy, especially as she retired 3 yrs ago. So don’t feel sorry for any JnJ people

I’m not complaining. I get paid till next October 2025. Just got offered a job & start 11-4…sweet. Rolling in the dough. This company is closed for Xmas shutdown. Going to be making ski plans & going 1st class. See if you wait, you can actually come out smelling like a rose.

Which groups impacted?
In vision, it includes IT, commercial and SC (pretty much all group some higher or lower), the surgical vision care hangover is still giving them headaches … so we will find out how much surgical vision care survives in current form.. Pharma (round # 2) at smaller scale and Medtech is also going thru clean (some of the Synthes and Depuy sites and products and pretty much done)

JNJ is the only American pharmaceutical company that does not have the year-end shutdown and/or summer shutdown the week of July 4th? Why is that?! Many companies gave BOTH! Oh yes, it’s because everyone at the top isn’t from America. There is no patriotism or belief in any God. Working is their god!

What levels are affected in SC? 26 and above?

What about other MedTech areas like WCH&B?

Just ran into an ex JnJ rep at Publix while I was picking up a lunch(Office choice). Didnt care for the Rep, expecially after hearing they get paid thru November, then they start severance. OMG-what a waste of money that the average patient is paying for. Plus she said she still gets her bonus-wasnt the being paid until November the bonus, even the 10 month severance? (1 year of not working-while the average American is struggling to get by) Not to mention that all the C-Suite people will, more than leikely, still be getting bonuses. NO wonder people dislike pharma people so much. Not to say that PBMs aren't doing their share of price gouging too.

Sage, mastur bater, sage!
My dismissed ex-manager became a limo/school bus driver. He used to drive me to EWR for my first class international trips, he always begged for a big tip.

I loved how he would pick up my golf clubs and luggage place in the trunk of the Suburban.

One time he picked me up about lunchtime I was coming back from Hong Kong. I took him to lunch at Sparks a very good restaurant in NYC and I had three martinis. I thought that was an interesting contrast to what had been a few short years prior when I reported to that incompetent bozo!

Now I hear he’s a school “teacher.”

Any more details on the Synthes and Depuy layoffs? Which groups? Supply Chain? R&D? Quality?

Yes, yes, yes plus more yesses. Next week or week after. Assume position...
Unless JNJ never wants to develop/launch product again, R&D and Quality need to be left alone. Departments were already left gutted from the layoffs last year.

Can’t execute or expand a pipeline when you don’t have butts in seats…
