Page 7 of item #04-292 (if you count the front page) states in the 3rd Paragraph:

"Be aware that some prenatal viatmins contain an untested version of folic acid called Metafolin.  Metafolin has never been tested in pregnant women and has not been proven to decrease the incidence of neural tube defects.  Make sure your prenatal vitamin contains folic acid, not Metafolin, to make sure your baby is protected.  All Ther-Rx prenatal vitamins contain 1 mg of proven folic acid."  then in the last paragraph" some women metabolize folic acid more slowly than others, but it is still effectively absorbed."

Sorry folks...the PE rep showed me the studies showing that a lot of women not only have problems metabolizing folic acid, but some can't at all.  Also, as far as testing pregnant women...that's kind of stupid seeing as NO ONE would want to be in a test situation during that time anyway.  And, the Lamers study PROVES metafolin does increase the folate amts in red blood cells, therefore increasing folate protection.  Increasing folate levels in the blood, DOES decrease NTD's.  How do I combat THAT?
