Sunovion Layoffs for TS



Not sure On number of cuts. Definitely territory changes and loss of trust. so unfortunate.
 
The culture here has changed so drastically in such a short period of time. The lies and deceit from our Executive Leadership Team over the past several months is unbelievable. Many here now have serious trust issues. People have options on where to work - Sunovion has forgotten that and will most likely see a mass exodus.
 
How are they deciding which reps to let go in the Neuro lay-off? Performance, geography, call average, territory volume ??? I heard they are cutting 20 Neuro territories.
 
Probably all of the above. My territory was collapsed; half was given to another, more tenured rep, the other half to another region. I was a new hire, so tenure could definitely be a factor, among others.

Truth. Psych and Neuro companies expanding within the near future offering reps more as well. And they thought the turnover to ITC was bad...

Culture was obliterated today. Those who weren’t cut are already looking. What’s left of my team, are already planning on leaving.

It’s a sales job and performance was 100% factored into decisions.
 
They just wanted to save money so they cut off heads until they got there. Indiscriminate was intentional from HR perspective to protect against lawsuits.

Reps are useless during pandemic. This was inevitable.
 
Did anyone find out how many reps and managers lost their jobs here? I was retained, but definitely not staying here as soon as I can move onto another position hopefully soon.

They likely used a 3rd party like ZS Associates to redraft how many reps/territories are needed to reach “optimal” performance. It’s all a cost/benefit ratio. This is done “blindly” so the company can’t be sued for discrimination, usually a historical performance snapshot of the last two years, but this process likely started 6 months ago, so the last 6 months are unaccounted for there. This is pharma. Sorry to hear but you knew it could happen when you took the job. That’s why pharma reps make good $ because their job has no real security.
