"Hasta La Vista" In other words..."see you later if you can't hit unreal budgets" I actually miss the worthless old guard. Brad & Dave didn't know what they were doing, but they had some common sense about personnel. A 21 year tenured TM gets terminated less than 2 years after earning back to back Presidents Clubs, mainly because our corporate leadership has no accountability for national accounts. The S. Florida rep who lost her job lost hundreds of thousands in HCA business, which had nothing to do with her. I can't wait to see how that territory performs in the following 2 years. Morons.
By the way. What good is an Area Vice President of Sales who has no say in personnel decisions? Or for that matter, an RSM? Why have Area VP's at all? Just have Sales Management report up to a National VP. Can't even save a valued and skilled sales professional who has spent her career with this company. I understand losing ones job when you don't hit numbers, but there are cases where losses are beyond a TM's control. You're a tough guy Berger and Valentine, lets review what you have accomplished;
1) Hit your numbers? FAILED
2) Construct a motivational Comp Plan? FAILED
3) Set realistic budgets? FAILED
4) Inside Sales Experiment? FAILING (what have we heard?)
5) ATM's? Do you even know what they do? FAILED
6) Any new contracted national business? FAILED
7) Does Valentine have a personality? FAILED
8) Does Valentine know how to speak? FAILED, right?

Sad...but VERY apt post. Who was terminated after 21 years? Didn't think any tenured TMs were still left at ConvaTec

C'mon now....let's turn that frown upside down and be positive....just look at all the success the resident moron Skillman crew has had since taking office:

1) Created consistently unattainable sales budgets for everyone - CHECK
2) Alienated & demotivated the entire sales force - CHECK
3) Surrounded themselves with idiotic, ass-kissing bobblehead yes-men - CHECK
4) Hired lots of non-industry, no-knowledge reps after droves of TM's left - CHECK
5) Pissed off their entire former customer base - CHECK
6) Bought loser companies & introduced copycat, me-too "new" products - CHECK
7) Juggled and taken on more debt than a Vegas pit boss - CHECK
8) Become the absolute laughing stock of the industry - CHECK

So there you have it.....it makes so much sense when you simply study the facts!! There hs been so much hidden "success" if you just know how to look for it. Keep up the great work Berger, Valentine and the rest of the dipshit corporate dolts....game on to see how quickly you can completely destroy the remainder of the company!!!

Convatec has already been destoyed--our bones are being picked clean by the hyenas and vultures, both internal or external.

Sounds like we have a "morale issue" here folks. It may be a good time to bring in that FDA consultant guy that spoke at the national meeting in for another pep talk. He really knows how to get us feeling all warm and fuzzy. Perhaps to really get us all fired up you can follow him with up with a MV fireside ramble

Well I got my job offer and will be resigning next week .

I would have stayed if they would have only treated me like a human being. I liked the job and the customers. The problem is you are constantly intimidated and treated like crap.

So much for the new "president" MV---How is it that you couldn't find someone more competent than BB (that seems kind of easy?) Bye everyone. Im sure you won't even know that I left.

Good Luck! When I left a few years ago I missed customers, too--and I had success with some of the good products clinicians liked using. Not being treated with any respect turned me away as well. The Convatec career site has a bunch of new openings and I heard from a recently departed friend that some territories are turning over twice a year. I guess the nurturing and fostering employment environment created by Nordic and Avista Partners continues at Convatec--well, not really.

BTW, Ft Lauderdale, NYC, & Boston North Shore all open--weren't those areas served by longer tenured TMs who are now gone?

Congrats on the new gig and believe me, it's the BEST move you ever made!! ConvaCrap has become the last resort job to take out of sheer desperation when you are without any other options....and only then for a short stint until something better comes along. It has become a complete shit show of a company to work for....daily harassment, micromanagement and an endless parade of meaningless DAILY reports, conference calls, etc. just so the asinine management team can justify their existence.

The rest of you should follow suit and run for the exits like your hair is on fire.....Skillman doesn't give a damn about you, doesn't pay you and certainly doesn't respect you....start enjoying life and making bonus checks again at a real company....which means anywhere but at ConvaDump!!

Hilarious and sadly ALL true!!!

And I thought it would have gotten better for you guys. I was a TM in the northeast and left in 2010_so glad I did. Work for a mid-size medical device company with a nurturing culture--management actually likes the people working here. I plan to retire from here as it's that fine a corporation to proudly represent. Know that companies like mine exist and you don't have to suffer, daily, the insults, sadism, low pay, bullying, and misery that is the new Convatec.

Just throw a dart at a board and you'll end up with a better company to work for....I also left a few years ago and and now my life is bliss....every so often though I actually have bad dreams about the way I was treated ( after a successful decades long career with this company )...no paycheck is worth such inhumane treatment. There is no hope for such a horrible place run by idiots. Good luck getting out.

You forgot a couple......
* Allows RSM to bailout early on ride along to work out at the gym. Same RSM participates in lots of personal
activities during corporate business hours.
*Allows another RSM to babysit his kids at home during corporate business hours while his wife racks up the mileage on his company car driving to and from her place of employment.
* both RSMs have the same first name

Care to give his initials? Why protect the cheats?
