The Butcher is an comin'

So true. That is why they are still hiring medimmune employees instead of transferring everyone over to AZ. The pile of crap employees for the most part work for AZ!

That would be a negative. Look for project funding to dry up as they try to sell us off. The future of the jobs all depends on the buyer. But they have to sell us first. Good luck with that.

Nobody is safe with Medi anymore. The leadership is frightening with LS sailing the ship in the NE. Hits, OMalley and now Boyd gone - pay attention people. Pathetic, unqualified people moving into leadership. Sad days for a once great company.

Question? I have interviewed for a position at Frederick Maryland. I have been told that I will be given the job once the offer gets approved. This was over a month ago, and each week that goes by I wonder why the hold up on getting the offer approved. Does anyone know why the long wait? What are people's impression of the Frederick site? Is Medimmune getting bought out?

Hiring freezes are a tell tale sign of major issues. Your paperwork did not get lost so it is probably a change in the opening's status. I'd keep looking for other jobs. Contacting the recruiter is your best bet.

Potentially, but look closer. Durvalumab has nothing but head winds. It will under perform. That is all but given at this point. If they can get someone to pay a huge sum before the potential falls flat, that would make good business sense. All I can say is that it is being discussed. Will it happen? Who knows.

What else besides durvalumab does Medi have in IO? Not much. And I'm hearing those projections drop by as much as 75%. AZ will need a chest of money to fight off being purchased. Selling Medi could fill that chest.

Look closely at Medi's pipeline. They have multiple IO agents (checkpoint inhibitors and agonists) as well as antibody drug conjugates. What else do BMS and Merck have? Roche/Genentech are the real competitors. Who is going to purchase AZ? Not Pfizer, BMS, Merck. Would they merge with GSK? Maybe.

I work for Merck and I can honestly saw that short-term we are in a fight with BMS but long term it is with AZ/Medi in the IO space. You guys have an incredible pipeline and R&D talent
