Spring training games are best watched while under the influence. I like seeing number 74 at shortstop, number 82 in right field or number 96 playing center. Even though they won't make the majors, those players have to be thrilled to be suited up and playing with the big club. I think there is a countdown to opening day on the MLB page.

It's a tough call - I used to work for a minor league team and the clubhouse can be a tough place for a kid to be hanging around in on a day to day basis. That being said, the GM gave LaRoche his word that it was cool for the kid to be in the clubhouse so the real issue now is Williams going back on what he originally said. If LaRoche had hit .285 instead of .204 the year before, this never would have came up. Over all, it is a very messy situation and there are three sides to the story.

Other than 2005, Kenny Williams has mostly sucked with the White Sox. He is the guy that chased Frank Thomas (yes Hall of Famer Frank Thomas) out of town.

The greatest wind-up of all time Van Smack, it was perfect. I just wish that he could have done it longer. For five years, he was on another planet, but prior to that, he was mediocre. I have never seen anything like it in Baseball. I am still more of a Bob Gibson fan, but Koulfax was a superstar, no doubt about it.

Gibson was the most intimidating pitcher of all time and he did it longer than Koulfax. They each had very different styles and both where the very best of their generation. I can't think of any pitcher in the game right now who can compare to Gibson or Koulfax.
