Tornier has destroyed the great orthohelix! Tearing down distribution and leaving them w shit employees doing 12 k per month. Northern Cali southern Cali are wiped out with lame ass mgmt that really and truly does nothing. The next wave of distributors left is about to be given there walking papers however not this time watch and learn!

Just like what happened with Tornier joints,,,should have OWNED the shoulder business, but instead they took the distributors down deadend roads of sports, biologics and then foot and ankle, (NEXA), and don't forget that dumbass DVO plate. Even make us hire on our own dime "specialist".
The worst part is there's no one to take the blame or even acknowledge what could have been or the countless people they fucked over with their poor leadership.

Someone please explain how a "Senior" VP of Operations can lead a company like this to losses totaling $32 million over the last year, increase G&A expenses, destroy moral, degrade training and shrink US market share still keeps his job. One look at his expense account should be cause enough for termination.
Not only has the sales force turned over, but they have capitulated too. It has become a joke to competitors in markets like California, Las vegas, Pennsylvania and everywhere East of the Mississippi. Even the major shareholders are dumping the stock. Since January the directors of the company have dumped shares worth over $365,000,000. Yes, that is $365 million!
At one time Tornier was a respected and competitive company with a loyal customer base. Now, under the arrogant, vulgar and incompetent leadership it is not even a viable take over candidate. It is way past time for the directors to quit dumping stock and dump the head case responsible for this disaster.

Trust is hard won and easily lost. Days when Greg was running things, true a smaller company, but if he said it I KNEW what to do or what to expect. When he left the building I knew the gig was up.
The guys that lead him to the door, DK and AJ, had great plans, a lot of money, board backing but they were too focused on all their foolish rabbit trails which lead nowhere. So they were replaced with the latest bunch of fools, who's first order of business is to point at the independent sales force as the "problem". Funny how those independent free thinking problem children built Tornier for a single product company to significant company. Tornier management should have dumped all that bullshit Mickey Mouse products, (DVO plate, Nexa and other low ASP tripe), and focusing on what Tornier was good at, shoulder arthroplasty and solidified their relationship with "their problem children"
So their solution is hire a "owned" sales force. As a result the present group works hard at destroying the old, harder and faster than the last group of fools.
"Where is there is no vision, the people shall perish", Tornier lost their way about 4 years ago.

Greg was (and still is) a dimwit and a two bit office politician who never carried a bag or did anything to earn that position or even a position selling ortho implants. He was lucky to get hired as a regional manager as he had no successful sales experience of any kind and was lucky not to get fired. He got his position through attrition, not achievement and got lucky riding on the coat tails of others and standing on their shoulders while the shoulder market grew exponentially with the introduction of the reverse shoulder.

It's astounding that other industry people on the outside can clearly see the eventual demise of Tornier, yet upper & middle Management within continue to deepen the layers of DM's, RM's & ABD's (some golf buddies) with artificial pedigrees to protect themselves from accepting accountability & failure of a solid company. TR has the steadfast yearning to to continue with his maniacal methods its akin to a cult or religion. What drives their logic & reasoning for their modus operandi? It's the definition of an idiot?

Your not excessive you seem to be coming to "this game" late? Find the Wright Medical discussion on this site and all your queries should be answered.

I call bullshit on the Greg comment. He was at the helm and growing BEFORE the Reverse graced Tornier. True the rode the ride like we all did.
Main point is that people, (read distributors), actually TRUSTED Greg. I might have not always liked it or agreed with him, but I knew what was what and I knew what the rules were. Everyone since then has been and is a waste of skin.

If last decade's successes were so easy to accomplish that even a "dimwit office politician" could do it, then how come we haven't seen a repeat since? There's certainly been time to "catch another wave." Dragging GS and JH's names through the mud will not replicate what they did. I worked for them, learned from them, and felt like I was on a team that could do anything. What a shame that DK felt so compelled to clean house, only to have someone else come behind to clean it again a short while later. All WP had to do was give us some resources and leave us alone. What a waste.

Is anybody happy at Tornier? Lower mgmt certainly is not, distributors or what left are not, the direct employees are scared shitless. Top line is crashing, yet the sharade continues. What gives what's the game plan? It's the most miserable organization I think allot will agree ever to be a part of. C'mon Tornier let's make it fun and inspiring again and get rid of your gustapo tatics, try it and you might be on to some something fresh.

**charade**. **alot**(although you really shouldn't use that word) **gestapo**

Looks like CBs been liberally hitting the sauce and decided to "rally the troops" with one of her legendary inspirational speeches. Bravo! I'm fired up!!

Perhaps prior to correcting grammar on an Internet message board you should look at the context of the message. Everyone is miserable, trust factor is zero w/distribution, TR and JR have completely gutted this organization. It will soon be devoid of talent and full of yes men. That's great, but it doesn't drive top line sales. Sadly, DM is a pawn to all of this, oblivious to the plight of his organization. It's a complete and utter joke, the only reason the stock hasn't tanked is M&A pricing is already built in on the upside. Can't wait to see Q3 results and hear the motivational poetic waxings of how we are getting this fixed. What a clown show.

What has not been expected here. I love it. How is that old WRIGHT MANAGEMENT DOING for ya? I bet you just can't believe the post on CF are/were very accurate. Those people can tear up an anvil with a rubber mallet.

It's my turn at management! Hope up don't spend all of your money paying those B U F F O O N S a salary. I bet no manager is better than what most of us our experiencing.

Greg may have been at the helm before the reverse was introduced, but he didn't do anything to earn being at that position and he didn't build that company. He was just in the right place at the right time and got lucky.
