They needed to address rumors

By not addressing them, they essentially confirmed them. They know there is alot of trepidation and uncertainty out here. They also know that is not good for sales efforts or results. They don't address the layoffs only because they are imminent and are relatively soon. If they were at least several months away, they would probably address them and still have time to say things have changed. I say no later then the end of this quarter.

And what it at the end of the call - there was a map thrown up followed by a slide of # areas, # regions, # territories and a call schedule.

Would you think - great, got what I needed? Would you have greater confidence in hitting your quota? Do you think your chances for promotion or advancement in Abt suddenly would improve?

Nothing changes wether you know Option A v Option B. Two weeks after Lance Scott delivered the message - did anyone care? Last March, did anyone care which NQ moved out or PC realigned or CSS lost members...no, just a blip.

Abt has and will continue a policy of transparecy defined as "we will let you know what we think you need to know, if we think you need to know it, when we think you might want to hear, after we have reviewed the info and determined you needed to know it, but then we needed to review it again, so here it is, after you SD, AD, RM and DM have all reviewed it"

Thick as mud.
