Hello all,

I received a call from a recruiter for a position in Virginia. Can anyone give me some information if I should pursue it? I have heard conflicting stories about Pharma in general and know that the company may be merging with Pfizer in the near future.

Any advice would be helpful.

I've heard stories about VA. Apparently there is a call girl working one of the territories so that might be a bonus
Here in the Midwest I would not recommend anyone take the interview unless you need to take care of your family. This is not the place for a career. No one knows what is going to happen with Pfizer but history shows Pfizer cuts with a heavy hand and since Brent lost the CEO battle look for Pfizrr reps to get the nod over anyone here They look for Yes men and women and want non creative thinkers. So if you can read script and close hard then you will do fine, as long as you work here.
In short, if you need to take care of your family you have to do what you have to do. If you are looking to break in to the industry then this will not be the best place to do that since you might get laid off in June
Not trying to be mean. Just honest. I've worked here long enough and can't wait to get out.

Good point. I'm Legacy Forest and that management team looks for exactly the same thing. No leaders, only followers. Forest/Actavis/Allergan will fit right in then with Pfizer's culture. Good luck.

Thank you for this post. Very informative and seems to be non biased. I have opted out due to the uncertainty and past posts about this Deegan guy. He sounds terrible.
