Sad but true. There’s an old saying that “the fish stinks from the head. The Kenvue T&D (our fancy new name for IT) Leadership Team comes across as dysfunctional with self-preservation and defensiveness, and clear favorites of Bernardo. It’s a bloated structure and the people who benefit from that won’t fix it. So this is a failure of the CIO. He won’t have much runway to fix it before the Wall Street hammer hits hard, so 2024 is lining up to be the year of implosion for him and his cronies.

Most of that IT leadership team needs to be flushed. They embarrass themselves in meetings where it’s so clear they do not have the intellectual or emotional capacity to lead. They are perpetuating this global/regional matrix to save their own asses. Every day is a waste of governance meetings and audits with no sense of urgency to fix the real problems — because they are the real problem. It’s a bunch of PowerPoint navel gazing and keeping their heads low and trying to keep the CIO away from their little kingdoms. Because he’s a reactive little tyrant. Shameful really. Lift and shift of the J&J rot.
