Toxic work environment

Just make one more call per day and do more speaker programs.

Big Pharma only knows Big Pharma. Gotta measure something if the measurements around volume growth don't look good.

I think we can all agree—morale is at an all-time low, and it’s not because of sales performance. Access is a major issue. It’s frustrating to see people hired into ‘immunology’ roles without dermatology experience, and access roles filled by those with no real access background. Upper management’s approach has become increasingly aggressive and toxic. I genuinely miss how things were four years ago, when this was actually a great place to work.

You’re not alone. I feel like a zombie out there these days. Zero enthusiasm left

As someone who tries to be a problem solver, I've thought long and hard on where exactly this all took a turn and why someone came in and wanted to "flip the table" without analyzing the specialty for a bit, What's sad is I don't think RT's a bad guy. I don't think he's malicious. I think he truly doesn't know any better. A lot of us started our careers in primary care and worked our way into Derm and then luckily to Incyte. When we all got here, it felt like Home....even through all of the bullshit that's been thrown at us. We took it in stride and worked "As One" with minimal "whining" because we knew this company/drug was worth fighting for. RT has never worked anywhere like this. His mind only knows generic numerics/metrics. We almost can't be mad at him. He came in and saw we weren't doing the Pfizer Lipitor launch of '96 and he was like "ah ha...I can turn this place around". You almost have to have the "Bless his heart" with your head tilted frame of mind. Unfortunately, this sales force just isn't given the credit it deserves. RT...we promise...if you can just start buying down some of the step therapies on large plans, we will make this drug a Blockbuster. That's what they brought you here to do! We don't need to count our lunches or "decile" our doctors, or show them a formulary page that has the exact same coverage for every plan. We don't need our managers riding with us bi-weekly so that we look incompetent in front of our offices. And for the troll that's going to tell us to "go somewhere else" and that we are "replaceable"....that's a risky threat. Just these realignments alone have some of our customers outraged. Finding a new job would be our easiest challenge yet! What we are trying to vocalize is that this salesforce feels like family and we don't want to leave what has been some of our best years just because a few poor decisions have been made.
