Lost several vaccinated family friends to COVID. Jazz needs to step up and test everyone not just unvaccinated, if we move forward with the poor decision to have live meetings. Any live meetings right now are irresponsible and will hold senior leaders liable if I talk it home to my family. Every reputable company has shifted to virtual for fall and Q1. Obvious leaders do not care about the individuals anymore.

Awe, you clearly aren’t very smart. I have never wanted a free ride. I’m vaccinated and want us all to get back to work and live our lives and learn how to deal with Covid cuz it is not going away. You missed my point completely. My point was stop saying that the unvaccinated are causing issues and preventing you from getting your freedom back. Covid is spreading regardless of vaccination status. You can take your own freedom back by looking at the facts and science and stop being petrified of what is effectively, a very contagious flu. I would love to know what the actual death rate truly is. Unfortunately we’ll never know because so many of us WITHOUT four comorbidities probably had Covid and didn’t even know it or we’re so minimally affected we didn’t seek medical attention. Bottom line, the vaccines don’t stop the spread. So stop mandating vaccines and blaming the unvaccinated. Talk to your doctor and do what’s best for you in your individual medical case, because even if you are vaccinated, you can spread it to others….so the altruistic argument doesn’t hold water. I love a good debate with someone who sticks to the facts and data. But you ain't that. The death rate at 850K is not high enough for you - is higher? Might be - but anyone coming into a hospital/picked up by EMTs are tested - so I think we are catching the large majority of sick Covid folks prior to their demise. The point of vaccines is to stop sickness/death/hospitalization and secondary to stop spread (folks vaxxed has less symptoms and throw off less virus). The unvaccinated do spread by more symptoms and importantly they are clog up the medical system - crowding out others who a sick without Covid, burning out HCPs and requiring expensive therapies to pull them out of the Covid frying pan.

The unvaxxed are taxing the medical system - look at ICU admissions. Vaxs are cheap and save the sysmtem money and effort. Its a public health responsibility.

What does your co-morbidity argument have to do with it? - folks with 4+ co-morbidities die at a higher rate from everything - including COVID. And in the US, folks co-morbidities out number the ones without by a long shot.

I was more in favor of vaccine mandates when there was an altruistic reason: to stop the spread. Now that the data is clear that you can get and transmit Covid when you are vaccinated and boosted, that changed things for me. If people choose to be dumb and end up in the hospital because they have underlying conditions and didn’t get vaccinated , that’s their problem. We live in a free country. For now. People do tons of stupid things that put themselves in hospitals all the time. I’m not interested in regulating people’s every move. Move on from 2020. Covid of today is much different and we have vaccines and therapies. We really don’t need to be talking mandates, masks and lockdowns anymore. And for God’s sake, let the children learn in person and stop wearing masks. They are the least at risk.
Covid is now a highly contagious flu. MILD flu for many, at that. Time to move on. The government needs to butt out of our lives and make itself useful: they should focus on the border, the economy/inflation, and law and order. Wonder how many people have died or will die as a result of these three combined disasters in our country. I’m out.
