To cut cost fire the shitty RDs. We all know exactly who they are! The ones hired in the expansion that have no comprehension how to close and account and get one to send specimens but yet think they are coaching and developing filed reps. Lol.

There are several great RDs that proved themselves in the filed and promoted based on performance.

Where the hell did these shitty mangers cone from?

Yes. Well said! Too many RSDs don't know crap about the lab especially the TF managers.

That is true in most lab companies. The managers were not the most successful just the biggest kiss-ups! The best companies have taken the top reps and made them managers because they truly know how to sell!

This guy out of the gate made a fundamental mistake. Management 101. He set an unrealistic goal. 5 th largest lab? What did that mean? Sales volume, number of tests on menu, number of employees....what did it mean? Better yet there was no plan to go do it. Doesn't know the customer, or market. Management is inept. No vision. No strategy. Thinking raising the price to the patient will cut bad debt when EVERYONE knew it would lose share. Leaving dead weight in sales and way too heavy in management. These decisions have led to where we are. Who hired this guy and what were they thinking? Better yet what are they thinking now? Negligent. This guy has made horrible decisions and he and whomever leaves him as CEO share all the blame of running a good company, not perfect, but a good company into the ground. Unbelievable

TF RDs were hired to "coach". They don't know squat on what it takes to sell the product and keep an account. They do know how to kiss ass very good.

That's the only word they know. Coach- but they need to look up the definition. Absolutely they could not take a clinic from introduction to a successful launch or even keep it sending. But yet they bark like little bitches and truly are ass lickers more than ass kissers.

Things were great when former TSM's who really knew the business got promoted to management after they had worked a territory (TB, SM, et al).
The rapid expansion and the idiots they hired into management roles destroyed the company. The new managers did not understand the lab business. The expectations were way too high. New territories that had not produced before were given barely any time to get up and running. It was all a plot to try and get bought out by a bigger lab that failed miserably. Now it's a shambles and no one knows what to do now.

attention you 3 pathetic nostalgics: the market and the company are DIFFERENT from the good old days. THERE IS NO GOING BACK DOROTHY!!!!!!!!

You can accept it, ADAPT and quit whining, or just LEAVE already. All your reminiscing about the good old days does you no good except make you more bitter (and frankly show how simple and small minded you are). We are not going back. So come with us or get the hell off the bus. if you are still here, quit complaining and move to the present -- or I hope you find a great pharma job real soon. Staying and hoping we will return to the past (and all this pathetic cafepharma venting) makes No sense. You are like the kid who goes to junior high and continues to pine for elementary school. Just stupid and pointless.

Jim I am not surprised that you are here but your tone is strong for a man that will be gone soon. Your retirement days ahead won't be focused on this mess you created - I would suggest that you blame Grant. We will see how deep his pockets are as we bleed out. Grant you have swagger supporting this!

Late breaking news early Monday morning from Birmingham Alabama states that VAP has been fired. In a daring move to cut 100% of all costs, executives from the now impoverished atherotech diagnostics Lab concluded that VAP was no longer warranting his exorbitant salary and will be replaced by BLP. This morning before opening hours, Vap was seen outside the corporate headquarters wandering aimlessly around in the parking lot carrying his extension cord and holding onto his recently run specimens. "Jim just ran up to me acting all crazy and shit and unplugged me," said VAP. "Things have gotten really out of hand here so I don't mind leaving but, it could've been handled more professionally I think, and I have little centrifuges to feed, WTF!," said VAP, as he caught the morning bus.

Poor VAP, he never had a chance under the current management.
