Voluntary Separation Package...

I was talking with a friend who used to be at AZ. Several months ago the company offered a voluntary separation package to it's reps. In our district, just under 50% took the package.

Would you???

Will hit my 10 year anniversary with Abbott in January. I would gladly sign up be paid to
"go away" and let a younger, more affordable, more energetic, more indebted,
more etc. - rep. stay.

I'm fried; done; spent; broken; burnt;.......Hey ABBOTT MANAGEMENT please pay those of us who want to go so those who want to stay can stay. But NO, that makes too much sense here at A-BOT!

More stupid

I was trying to be polite but sometime - YES!. I guess it would depend on the hiring DM/RM. I have worked with some sharp, promising young ones and others that were simply lazy, ignorant and had a sense of entitlement that made me laugh and shake my head. What are you going to do?! They will be gone to, at some point, and will be wondering what the h-ll just happened without a careen to fall back on?!

After 10 years... I would happily take a package to move on.

Abbott should let those go who want out... Keep those who want to stay... But who wants to stay...

Time to move on people. Nothing to see here. Move on.

I have over 20 years in, if offered, I would take a separation package today. Even more so, if I knew that some young guy with a wife and kids to support would keep his job

HEY ABBOTT MANAGEMENT...you have many tenured reps. willing to step aside to let the young guns (with morgages, school tuitions, etc.) keep their jobs, homes, kids in private schools/collage and continue to put food on the table for their families.

DO THE RIGHT THING FOR ONCE IN THIS COMPANY'S HISTORY and ALLOW FOR VOLUNTARY SEPARATION PACKAGES! Step up and be willing to pay just a little more to let us old timers espape to freedom....from Abbott.

This would be a wonderful New Year's resolution for you in senior mgt! Try it, if might make you feel a little bit better about yourselves and the many lifes within Abbott that you impact every day with your mismanagement of this company.

Hey you stupid old FART! What about us, the women out here with a family that depends on our income? I have to keep this job. My partner is not yet back to full time and not likely to be fulltime in the near future. We have borrowed money out of the 401K as a last resort. I would do anything with almost ANYBODY above a level 20 or so just to make sure I DON'T get let go.... at least anyone in the franchise that I am in that has input into keeping my territory open. The economy is supposed to be finally turning around, and NOW is the time that we are letting people go. Go figure. Life's a bitch.

Got to hell bitch. I am female and 40. NOT MY FAULT YOU LIVE OUTSIDE YOUR INCOME AND HAD TO BORROW AGAINST YOUR 401K. Looks like you have a lot to learn. I'm able to retire. Have fun going to work for the next 30 years!

Old folks....women.....soon, the minorities will be complaining here about not getting theirs...

This is a get what you get environment and the Big A does not owe you SHIT. Buckle up, do your job and keep your nose clean. If they do not want you then you will be told.

Most of us make insane cash for what we do - that has got to change...
