a meat factory who treated their reps terribly, advertising openings when there was a rep already in the territory.I feel sorry for the reps, but WC management deserves the same shaft they gave their reps. They are scum!!

It won't be fun but I'll employed. After taxes you'll be lucky to see $50K. Wait until you see your COBRA bill. Same crap happened to me last year. If you can, go back to school and get out of this mess.

Haha! Cobra bill? A) I plan on having a job by end of my severance. Per our package, our insurance lasts till them. B) if not, I'll go on my wife's. I'll never do cobra. And 50 out 100? Bit exaggeration there, don't ya think? Granted, 34% or so will be taken, I'll be better off unemployed than most will employed in this country and I won't be working for some shit unethical company. I'll count my blessings, take my 3 interviews tomorrow and roll with it. Have fun!

Everyone plans on having a job by the end of severance. The problem is there are more than 35,000 people just like yourself competing for a handful of jobs. Not saying you won't do it, just prepare for the worse. You must be fortunate to live in a state with no income tax. Your stock will be taxed at short term capital gain rates sad to say. Great you have a spouse with insurance. Just as a point of reference, my COBRA was $2000 a month. Glad to have made major money in the past and able to build a strong portfolio. It's Monday, get on with the search! Good luck!

Blessed. Everyday, to be alive and breathe in the air, is a blessed day. One door closes, another opens. Such is life. I am happy to be where I am and am thankful for the opportunity WC provided me and all it did for my family the years I was there. I made a lot of money and for that, I will forever be grateful. I also met some great people, who along the way, will remain friends and I wish them all the best. This situation was completely shocking and if I am going to go down like I did, I am glad I went down with the rest of the organization, we went down to together. Winning with Compliance.....lol! Cheers! Good luck to everyone looking for jobs. Network, network, network people! Life has something better waiting for you! Believe it, know it and go get it!

No Joke! I made some fabulous connections while at WC! It really will be onto bigger and better things no doubt!
Good Luck everyone!

For sure...there are a lot of WC haters out there. (Mostly other sales reps) The fact of the matter is, recruiters see us as different that regular pharma. We were stack ranked and competed against each other and if we didn't rank out we were gone. Most other pharma companies get paid to drop samples and work in a Pod. Not saying everyone at this company is cut out for device, lab sales or capital equipment but if any pharma sales force is, it is the WC sales force. So go get that 150 to 250k job and take the next step, enjoy your family during the holidays while your still getting paid and get that paper!!

Ex-Warner reps must be smoking crack! This is a joke.....You guys don't have a chance especially when the news comes back.

Your clearly are NOT a manager/director because your numbers dont make sense. While reps made very little, including on the stock grants (a select few MIGHT get a few thousand $$$ worth of stock), managers/directors will get a severance much higher than that of a rep.

Did you know that the minimum severance for a manager is 24 weeks of pay? Dis you know that annual guaranteed stock grants (as long as received meets expectations) was 20,000$, for a Sr. Manager it was $40,000, for director it was 60,000$, and Sr. Directors received 80,000$ in stock annually. People like Lenny, Sirine, Marc, etc are coming out this into the seven figures. Your average DM who has been in the role for 3 years or more, is coming out of this well into multiple 6 figures.

The only problem though is they carry the stench of Warner Chilcott. Their reputations are stained, by lawsuits, etc. Just do a google search on Lennys name, and you will see. If reps carry the stench, the leadership that created the atmosphere of the stench, carrys an even more pungent stench. At least some of these people might never have to work again.

The severance that reps are getting is really not anything special, it really isnt. By the time you pay taxes, and live unemployed for several months, that money will disappear before you know it. Just sayin'

Im a rep. My stock portfolio from awards granted through WC according to my Merryl Lynch Account are at 34k right now. My severance is 12 week. Tack on another 8 weeks for our warn notice that is a 20 week severance at a fairly high base which I will not disclose but it is not in the 50 or 60. Not to mention, we get our bonus check in March, and currently I am ranked in top 20% of a $50k payout soooo...what do you really know about me? Glad you seem to know all this vaque information, but don't tell me what you don't know about me and my severance as every individual is different. I hate how WC haters clump the entire salesforce together like we are not the same we are not.

Your warn notice is NOT severance; FYI severance is what you get after your employment ends. Stocks worth 34k, so I put you as one of the 10% of WC reps over two years, also WC has a simple policy "NO REP" gets a salary over 100k. Based alleged stock values, I put your tenure at 4 years tops.

Typical WC rep comes in with zero experience, so salary likely started at no more than 55k. Even if you got 5% raises each year, you would be at no more than 70k or so in salary. Now lets do the math.

- Allgedly 35k in stock - After sale = 28K
- 3 months of severance (nothing special here) = 23,000(minus taxes and soc sec)= 16K
- 50 k Payout for a trimester, for a top 20% rep? Stop Lying, remember I was there, top 5% tops out at 25K. Top 20% gets no more than 15K, after taxes = 9K

Now lets add it all up 28k+16K+9K= 53,000, give or take 10K...well young fella, thats good but not great. Consider this as a sr. manager:

- I get 24 weeks (6months) of severance - >75k = 50k after taxes
- Guaranteed stock grants of 40,000/year for last 6 years, with current value 292K = 240k after taxes
- Guaranteed annual bonus of 20% of my salary = 18K after taxes

TOTAL = 308k payout. Compare the 308 vs the 53k. Now Directors, Sr. Directors get even better, and they have been around to accumulate more. My original point was that your 50-60k bring home is peanuts compared to the guaranteed 7 figures that marc, sirine, lenny will bring home.

Again, you will now have to go out and compete with people that actually have real pharma experience with real legit companies. You will bring limited years of experience and carry the WC stench. Just look at what Actavis did, companies will run from you a mile a minute. In a year, the change that you receive will be gone, pooof! you will need every dime of it. If I were you I wouldnt brag, as it really a rather light package, really its just OK, and nothing special.

If you look at some of the layoffs from real companies, they would give 3-6 months as a start, then tack on 2-3 years for every year that you worked, plus medical benefits for the time period. Sorry to burst your bubble Mr. McStench :)

Actually, rep is telling the truth. Women's health T3 bonus is worth $50k for top 5%. 42k top 10% 36k top 20% and so on down. This was a special 5 month t3 with launch of minastrin 24. So shut the hell up.

Also, the medical benefits last for as along as severance does.

However…the government is not done with investigation. Remember #7 on the 1-800 FBI line? They want that money back…so money at that SR level as you described could grow quickly when you are in JAIL! HAHAHAHAHAH

The govnt is done with the investigation. They closed the deal and reduced fine for the complete take out of all 2600 WC employees. There is no way shape or form they would lay off 2600 otherwise. Game over. Literally.

Oh stop the nonsense with the jail talk!!! The fact is that most WC reps here are here less than 18 months, and have no stock to sell at all. Bonus payouts are not severance (you are getting what you would have received anyway), and neither is "WARN" money (its regular pay since you are still employed). For 80% of WC reps, the only thing they will get for severance is 12 weeks. With average salaries around 65k, thats about 21K, after tax withholding at 40% thats about 13k.

So you typical rep will get the bonus that they already earned;, havent been here long enough to accumulate much, if any stock; will receive pay for two months no big deal, your supposed to get paid if you're on the books); will receive on average less that 21k in severance.

Now considering that no company is obligated to pay severance, which is actually free money, its nothing to complain about, but it AINT No windfall. Give me a break.
