Week of well being?

Yes, complete joke. This company squeezes every last drop. I have a year and a half left of this nonsense...so tired at the end of everyday. I have never done so many useless "projects".

Sucks the soul right out of you.
I prefer to just tell my BD that I respectfully don't care about being promoted if it requires extra projects and the burdensome PM process complete with STAR examples. I'll use the time I save doing something actually meaningful. I'll just make my calls and ensure the reports look good, leave me alone. Thanks.

Yeah, you do that, and you’ll be targeted for termination.

Most everyone feels this way. Not all are able to be candid about it with their BDs.

You are right… the job is to legally and ethically sell drug. Don’t expect everyone to be a suck up, acknowledge, respect and thank the 90-95% of people who just want to go out and do the job they were hired to do. Lord knows the other 5-10% spend more time in trying to look good vs actually doing good.

Great call outs.

Remember that a wet beaver gets the most wood.

I did something similar at a previous company. I showed up at my mid year PM meeting with an empty sheet of paper. My manager asked me what was going on. I said that I wasn't interested in fighting for a 1-2% raise. I also told him he was free to give it to someone else as long as I wasn't required to do any PM management BS. No STAR examples, no special projects, no butt kissing, no "What good looks like" detailing examples, just deliver numbers. I told him the process was broken and I wasn't interested in participating in it. I still received a 1.5% raise because my territory exceeded plan even though budgets were "tight" that year.
