I did something similar at a previous company.  I showed up at my mid year PM meeting with an empty sheet of paper.  My manager asked me what was going on.  I said that I wasn't interested in fighting for a 1-2% raise. I also told him he was free to give it to someone else as long as I wasn't required to do any PM management BS. No STAR examples, no special projects, no butt kissing, no "What good looks like" detailing examples, just deliver numbers. I told him the process was broken and I wasn't interested in participating in it.  I still received a 1.5% raise because my territory exceeded plan even though budgets were "tight" that year.
