This board is for oncology specialty reps, regardless of company. This board is not a place for product/company rivalries, but rather a place to discuss areas of mutual interest.
 


If you want a fairly competent recruiting firm that actually knows what they are doing, call fpbiomed in Oregon. I fired all the others that call with nothing and waste my time. This outfit seems pretty good, so far.
 






Cant really comment; but it was with a leading firm for a DM position in primary care. I opted for the oncology position as the hiring manager seems great and the field is growing and I do not think its subject to as much of a rat race as the pcc market.

This is what I am told... taking a specialty position vs. a DM.. but if I am patient the satisfaction and hopefully development will come along. I have had great advice from a few trusted people whom I would trust for career advice.
 


Board Admin: Could you start a new Forum/Board called "Start Ups" or something similar? Seems many of us are seeking information on new biotechs that do not have their own boards here. Several people right now are interviewing with startups like Insmed, Idenix and others where they would like to get info about these companies and their management teams but have nowhere to go on CafePharma to get that info.

What are we all doing here without leadership, bonuses or anyone to speak for us to upper management. I am getting tired of people saying we should be happy to be employed. Live is too short. nWhen will it get better?
