Weldon stepping down

Why did Weldon step down as CEO? He is not that old at 63. Was he forced out? I wouldn't have quit with that salary. Maybe he was just tired of criticism. You would think he would have worked to try and repair the media's criticism of him to help restore his legacy.

ughhh.......... Go read a link or something. Like a previous poster on another thread once replied: "If you have to ask, you are part of the problem"

Good point by previous poster. Weldon caused lots of negative image problems for our company. The brand was heavily tarnished. Weldon was a robber baron who looted the company for his own selfish interests. He had the board wrapped around his finger. Some angry ex employees spoke out at the shareholder meeting about the lack of ethics. Gorsky did a nice job diffusing the situation and complementing Bill at the same time. Gorsky said Bill sure did help a lot of people. It was nothing but story after story of examples of how the company honors the credo by helping people. One crazy lady got up and yelled it is time for lunch as she wanted to her question in.
