Basically they laid off a substantial number of CCC employees. Not sure how they did it so if anyone knows spill it. Whats going on at the Con???

Erin H? Long timer
Yes, Erin, Long Timer. What a crazy place, but the reality is, anyone that has here more than say 6 years, needs to get in touch with reality. It is not going to get any better even though some business units seem to think they are safe (such as Ostomy). No one is safe now or after the so called sale that is right around the corner (cough, cough, wink, wink). Do not believe the dribble management is putting out there that this is all temporary and once we are sold it will be good again. Have to laugh at the announcement last week about revised compensation plans. Wow, did anyone see that coming? (yes)

They could still easily eliminate, combine or realign some territories and managers just as they did CCC. They currently have more territories than they did years ago - or as someone else suggested, just make everyone full line reps and focus on Acute.

If we are bought many companies would simply let us train all their current sales reps and then after the terms of the contract and retention are satisfied, simply let most of the CVT folks go. We are not all that special and I do not care if you are CCC, Wound or Ostomy. Most came into this company without specific knowledge or skills. We were trained and so it goes...bye bye to all of us. The sad reality. They only need us now to sell the company, otherwise they could care less about us. Again, do not think your business unit is immune.

I sold all three and have to say that if you can sell wound care, you can easily sell ostomy. It is not so special as their RSMs and VP are telling their teams. So, yes we could all be trained to sell all three products, and yes, we can all be easily replaced by the sales teams from our future owners. It is not rocket science. I say give the new owners, (when ever they show up) a year and then the lay offs will begin.

No one is Special. Everyone can be replaced. Look left, look right. Say good bye.

Quite the opposite I'm afraid, word is this was simply the first step towards eliminating CCC entirely. Also, more TM's and RSM's in all divisions will be terminated sadly as well. These guys could absolutely care less about people and have one goal in mind. If you notice your RSM acting totally out of character or requesting more territory information (business plan expansion, review, etc) get ready and I wish you the best. Truth be told we all knew this nonsense was coming it was only a matter of time, as stated on a number of occasions if you aren't prepared you very easily could find yourself outside looking in. Myself, had 3 phone interviews yesterday and a face to face today with another scheduled in Friday. Can't sit around waiting to take it in the short hairs by a group of clueless knuckleheads. Don't be a "tugboat" be a speedboat and get the hell out of here!!

Very true. I have heard similar outlook and plan of action from a couple people in the know. Good luck to you on your interview. It can be scary to start over, but worse to just sit around waiting for what you "hope" will happen and in denial or reality. I hope they eliminate the layers of management (RSMs) if you dare call them managers. All we need is an administrator to forward our reports to and they can forward them up to the devil. RSMs - sorry, but you have already realized that or at least I hope you did.

Management will tell us whatever they can to get us to stay so they can suck in one last dollar. Telling us the truth about their intentions would cause us all to flee. No one is safe
