Years ago, my manager took a sales report of mine and accidentally left his copy with me. The problem is that on the back of his was, in his own handwriting--which is very identifiable, some VERY embarrassing information about how he was supplementing his income along with the regional manager. He is still very active in pharma and I just found out that, for some reason, he has given me a bad reference. I have not given him as a reference until now because I worked for him in a specific area of pharma, which was also the field for the job that I was applying to. He has no reason to give me a bad reference as I was a multiple award winner in his district. He has to know that it was me that has the document that I referred to earlier in this post. Oh, one other fact--this happened YEARS ago. What should I do?
