What the heck is going on w/ RST?

First a redrawing of lines for Q2 for FSIP, now as we enter the 2nd month of Q2, another redrawing of FSIP for Q3. Are these actions a sign of desperation? And if so, why do you think? Very interested in what people think.

Strange for sure. "They" will of course spin this but it wasn't too long ago that we were told that incentive plans will be changed only once a year (so, two comp plan variances per year). Now we have two changes results in three comp plan variances, & it's only May. So, how can you not think desperation isn't hitting?
If AZ played better in the managed care sandbox for both brands, we likely wouldn't be in this situation (whatever that situation may be). MCO's are making it more difficult to get Airsupra. Providers telling us that plans want to see track 1 and not track 2, even though Symbicort does not have that indication is the US. In actuality, AZ probably likes this. No sales force and yet Symbicort bringing home $$$. Doesn't help when AZ has a $35 co-pay card for Symbicort for all cash pay and commercially insured patients. Also, hearing plans (I have actually seen the document) are requiring at least two rescue med failures before getting Airsupra. Silly but true. The $15 bypass helped here. Not any longer.
I guess most plans don't like seeing two generic products packaged for convenience into one device and then charging a premium for it.

Just a matter of time before RST is rolled back into PCX. I know nothing but if you can't see this, might be time to see an optometrist.

In all my years, I've never seen such a ball of confusion at AZ. SPARK is a joke. It surely causes mistrust of the numbers. It's very suspicious that we can not view our standing at the end of the quarter. So many questions of questionable behavior.

The RST sales division is hemorrhaging sales reps. Because of decreases in bonuses, mandatory use of EV's, pathetic lunch money and an anemic number of samples, a demoralized sales force will be looking for other jobs. So when layoffs come in the near future, AZ will not have to pay a severance package to as many reps.
Also, teamwork between RST reps will probably decrease, since there's responsibility for only 1 drug.
I am sure there's a chess game that's being played by upper management at AZ, and sales representatives are not part of that game.

100% accurate. BUT, the sales force knows this. More and more are working less, looking for other jobs. Falsifying calls and telling leadership and brand how great and insightful they are, as they laugh at them. All these calls around "speak up" culture are silly, especially in the east where you have a CBD that creates files at a blink of an eye on people and continues to whack reps because they think it makes them look like they are doing the right thing....which they aren't. Trust is non-existent in the east unless you are one of the chosen few. Leadership? No. HQ puppet? Yes. And that is why CP is the real place for a speak up culture.
