What's up with Resourcing, is Sharma on his way out?

Both Project and Clinops leadership are fed up. Resourcing has grown into a bloated beauracracy and hasn't created any positive difference in the way we are staffed. There are no new ideas, tools or performance. It is worse now it is centralized as functions can't get who they need on time or on budget. Just a matter of time until there is a reorg that Sharma doesn't survive. Jeff has had a successive string of failures.

They were both temporarily saved by the GSK deal. Resourcing was hot mess before and now it's steamier and a larger pile. Everyone knows that they have both been looking for a while.

He is now, a VP in name only.

There are only 2 types of people in PAREXEL, those on their way out and those looking for a way out. He, unlike many here, had experience outside the CRO world before he came here. The promotion to VP in a credible organization was an end in itself. He has signaled his next move since about 6 months on the job - he is flogging himself to any and all non-CROs internationally. He, like PAREXEL, is in a no-lose situation. PAREXEL grows because Big Pharma DEV is dieing / we have no choice but to work here and Sharma wins because no one else wants his job and because he will get and leave at the first better offer.

He will be gone at the next big reorg. Resourcing is a shambles.it will be broken up into smaller units each serving a business. That way, they can get rid of much of th expensive and in ineffective managers there.

His frequent trips to India were leading the outsourcing there. He will get a cash bonus for that and then and year later he is "gone, gone .....gone".
