Common knowledge that contract sales force are much less expensive than jnj sales reps.  Read the forums: the jnj reps and dms at much higher salaries aren't grateful for the big money they're making and don't work either.  And every year or so they have to stay home and wait for a phone call to see if they made the layoff cut. It's all the same. There's no job security anywhere anymore.  It's simply more economical to have contract sales reps and that's where the pharma sales rep job is headed.
