Why no exit interview?

I gave my notice and no one from HR is going to contact me for an exit interview? I know there are very few people in the department but obviously no one cares if you leave and why. Instead they do ridiculous surveys. Such a pathetic company…off to make more money and goodbye to my manager!

Without going into detail, HR doesn’t care who stays or goes, and neither does the company. HR is there to protect the company to make sure all the I’s and T’s are crossed. I am sure the reason you left is the reason most people change jobs and it’s because of your immediate manager. Add on the Lundbeck obvious of no pipeline, no leadership, better security elsewhere, and you have your reasons. Also, the vast majority of people are never really candid about why they leave because they think they are “burning bridges” if they do.
There is no need to take time to ask you a bunch of questions because they have heard it many times.

FACT! it is rare for a pharma company to conduct an exit interview

Strange, I left for Axsome and I was given an exit interview. I mostly sounded off on the crappy pay. Where did you land? Congrats
